Surface Treatment
ELECTROGALVANIZING: Electrogalvanizing is to immerse the steel coil in an electrolyte containing zinc ions, reduce the zinc ions to zinc metal through the action of electric current, and deposit it on the surface of the steel coil to form a zinc layer. This process is suitable for thinner steel and can control the thickness and uniformity of the zinc layer. The advantages of electro galvanizing are low cost and simple operation, but the corrosion resistance and adhesion of the zinc layer are relatively poor.
HOT-DIP GALVANIZING: Hot-dip galvanizing is to immerse the steel coil in preheated molten zinc so that it reacts chemically with the steel surface to form a zinc-iron alloy layer and a pure zinc layer. This process is suitable for steel of various thicknesses and can provide good corrosion resistance and adhesion. The advantages of hot-dip galvanizing are that the zinc layer is uniform and dense, has high corrosion resistance, and is suitable for use in outdoor environments and harsh conditions.
